As the various nations and nationalities and peoples of Ethiopia own their conflict-resolving mechanisms through round table discussion, they have been doing everything they can to resolve quandaries making use of their conflict-resolution mechanisms.
Since time immemorial, Ethiopians have positively resolved their own quandaries without the interference of third-party dictation As national dialogue paves the way for restoring peace and tranquility in the left, right and center of the country, people from all segments of the society ought to stand firmly by the side of ENDC.
It is learned that National dialogues pass through three successive phases: preparation, process and implementation. The preparation phase can be as long, or longer, than the official process, as it often entails mini-negotiation processes in itself to establish key parameters and the institutional framework (i.e. mandate, agenda, participant selection, decision-making procedures, etc.),
Some countries task a key institutional body with preparing the process. Once the key parameters are established, preferably by consensus, the process (or negotiation) phase – the most public phase of the national dialogue – begins. Once an outcome is reached, the implementation phase begins. The success of national dialogues can be defined on two levels, first in terms of whether an agreement was reached or not; and second, the extent to which the agreement was actually implemented.
The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission is making significant strides in promoting inclusive, participatory, and constructive dialogue across the country. As far as this the commission has been engaged in a broad range of undertakings putting in place various successful tactics that can help accomplish the desired goal drawing lessons from international experiences to ensure a successful national dialogue.
It is true that as national dialogue for sure ensures peace and harmony without a shred of doubt, people from all walks of life should stand by the side of ENDC soon.
As long as ENDC has been working with the purpose of resolving quandaries revolving around various issues, people from all walks of life should continue supporting the commission in the whole kit and caboodle required almost immediately. It is certain that as conducting the national dialogue plays a huge role in ensuring peace, harmony everyone should move heaven and earth for its success.
