All historians have common consensus about the Battle of Adwa and the victory scored at the event. It was a battle where every Ethiopian, irrespective of any differences, joined hand to thwart the well-equipped invading Italy army and defend nation’s sovereignty. The difference in weaponry between the invading force and the Ethiopians was offset by the valiant courage and unwavering patriotism of Ethiopia’s sons and daughters. Their firm loyalty to their country together with their unity was the key secret behind securing a decisive victory over the invading force.
