
ADDIS ABABA- Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Service has successfully transported 4,200 tons of flowers during the 2025 Valentine’s season, Ethiopian Airlines disclosed.
The Ethiopian Airlines on its official Facebook page announced that during the 2025 Valentine’s season, 50 million stems (4,200 tons) of flowers have been successfully transported by the airline’s Cargo and Logistics Service.
Particularly during the Valentine’s Day peak season, as the heart of the global flower export market, Ethiopian Cargo has played a pivotal role in delivering fresh, beautiful blooms to loved ones around the world, the company stated.
According to Ethiopian Airlines, the key deliveries were transported from Addis Ababa, Nairobi, and Bogotá, to key markets Liege, Brussels, and the Middle East, ensuring these flowers reached their loved ones for the special day.
“We are committed to making sure that each petal reaches its destination, bringing joy and love to everyone on the planet. We are proud to be a go-to partner in the global flower industry, providing dependable logistics when it counts,” the Ethiopian Airlines said.
Last year, the Ethiopian transported approximately 250 million stems of flowers for Valentine’s Day.

The airline serves 142 international passenger and cargo destinations, including 70 African cities, with frequent flights via Addis Ababa.
