Ethiopia is making strides in this area, but there is still much work to be done. By improving service delivery across various sectors, Ethiopia can not only uplift its citizens but also position itself as a premier destination for FDI.

The government’s recent efforts to enhance service delivery are commendable. Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh has underscored the commitment to reforming institutions to improve efficiency and transparency. During a recent visit to the Ethiopian Electric Utility’s customer service desk and call center, he observed ongoing reforms aimed at streamlining client services. His emphasis on reducing bottlenecks and establishing a transparent operating system is crucial for serving a larger customer base effectively.

To shorten the hectic process is vital in creating a one-stop service model approaches that the nation is structuring in custom and clearance and industrial zones. It is important for investors can significantly reduce the time and resources required to start and operate a business in Ethiopia. This approach simplifies the bureaucratic processes that often deter potential investors.

In my view, building reliable infrastructure is the critical asset that should be given due attention. The effort to supply reliable power and internet, transport should strengthen further. The endeavor is important for both local citizens and foreign investors. Improving transportation, energy supply, and digital connectivity will enhance service delivery and attract FDI by creating a conducive environment for business operations.

Engaging the private sector in service delivery can lead to innovative solutions and improved efficiency. By fostering partnerships, the government can leverage private expertise and investment to enhance public services.

Feedback Mechanisms: Establishing robust feedback systems will allow citizens and investors to voice their concerns and suggestions. This will not only improve service delivery but also build trust between the government and its constituents.

The Deputy Prime Minister’s commitment to enhancing service delivery through effective reforms is a positive step.
