كما أكد العمل على تقديم كافة التسهيلات الممكنة فيما يتعلق بالإجراءات القنصلية لليمنيين المقيمين والزائرين مجدداً دعم الحكومة الإثيوبية لجهود المبعوث الاممي ولكافة الجهود الهادفة إلى تحقيق السلام الشامل المبني على المرجعيات المتفق عليها بما يحفظ لليمن وحدته وأمنه واستقراره.
وقد أطلع دمقى مكونن، وزير الخارجية اليمني على تطورات الأحداث والأوضاع الراهنة في البلاد، والجهود المبذولة لإحلال السلام، مشيراً إلى أن العمل على تعزيز عملية السلام يمثل أولوية رئيسية لإثيوبيا. مؤكدا على الحاجة إلى الاستفادة من العلاقات التاريخية بين البلدين التي تعتمد ليس على المصالح فحسب، بل أيضًا على العلاقات القديمة بين شعبي البلدين، مشيداً بعمق ومتانة العلاقات التي تجمع البلدين. وشدد على أهمية تنسيق العمل المشترك، وتعزيز العلاقات الثنائية والدفع بها نحو مستويات وآفاق أوسع.

وأكد رئيس الوزراء في حديثه لعضو مجلس القيادة، على تجاوز اليمن للمشاكل والحرب التي فرضتها المليشيات الحوثية، كما ستتجاوز إثيوبيا مشاكلها الداخلية أيضاً وتتغير أحوال البلدين إلى الأفضل ويكون البلدين نموذجا للتنمية والسلام في المنطقة.
وكان أشاد عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي عثمان مجلي، بعمق العلاقات التاريخية بين اليمن وإثيوبيا، جاء ذلك خلال لقائه، في وقت سابق، مع رئيس الوزراء الدكتور أبي أحمد، على هامش مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الخامس المعني بأقل البلدان نمواً، المنعقد في العاصمة القطرية الدوحة. حيث جرى خلال اللقاء استعراض أوجه العلاقات الثنائية والتعاون والتنسيق المشترك، وسُبل تعزيزها وتطويرها بما يسهم في تحقيق المصالح المشتركة لخدمة الشعبين الصديقين في مختلف المجالات والقطاعات، انسجامًا مع يتمتع به من روابط مشتركة وعلاقات قديمة وراسخة مبنية على الاحترام والتعاون المتبادل بينهما.
وأشار السيد مجلي، إلى لقاء رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي في مؤتمر شرم الشيخ مع رئيس الوزراء الإثيوبي والذي انبثق عنه استئناف وتفعيل اللجنة الوزارية المشتركة بين البلدين وتكليف وزير الخارجية بزيارة إثيوبيا، بهدف توسيع مجالات التعاون الثنائي وتعزيز آفاق التنمية لخدمة أبناء البلدين.
كما أكد مجلي، حرص اليمن ودعمها لجهود تعزيز أمن واستقرار اثيوبيا ووحدتها الوطنية، ومواصلة الجهود الاثيوبية لتحقيق التنمية في كافة القطاعات بالبلاد والتغلب على كافة التحديات ومحاربة الإرهاب والجماعات المتطرفة التي اتخذت من العنف وسيلة لابتزاز المجتمع كما تفعل مليشيا الحوثي الإيرانية الإرهابية في اليمن.
ومن جانبه، بحث وزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين الدكتور أحمد عوض بن مبارك، مع نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية الإثيوبي دمقي مكونن حسن بالعاصمة أديس بابا، العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الصديقين والخطوات اللازمة للارتقاء بها الى المستويات المطلوبة، وبما يعكس عمق العلاقات التاريخية التي تجمعهما.

واشاد الوزير بن مبارك، بقرار استئناف رحلات الخطوط الجوية اليمنية على خط (عدن- أديس ابابا)، لما لذلك من أهمية في رفع وتيرة حركة المواطنين ورجال الأعمال بين البلدين، مثمناً استضافة جمهورية اثيوبيا الفيدرالية لعدد من أبناء الجالية اليمنية والرعاية التي يحضون بها، ودور الحكومة الإثيوبية الايجابي في دعم العودة الطوعية للمهاجرين الاثيوبيين المتواجدين في بلادنا بالتنسيق مع المنظمات الدولية المعنية. مؤكداً على تضامن الجمهورية اليمنية ودعمها لكل الخطوات التي تقوم بها الحكومة الاثيوبية بغية تحريك عجلة التنمية وتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار والازدهار الذي ينشده الشعوب الاثيوبية.
