المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين في إثيوبيا تدعو المجتمع الدولي إلى زيادة المساعدة

دعت المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين في إثيوبيا المجتمع الدولي إلى زيادة المساعدة التي يقدمها لأن الدعم المقدم بعيد كل البعد عن الحاجة مقارنة بالعدد الكبير من اللاجئين في البلاد.

في مقابلة حصرية مع وكالة الأنباء الاثيوبية ، قالت نائبة الممثل القطري للمفوضية مارجريت أتينو إن إثيوبيا لديها التزام طويل الأمد بحماية اللاجئين.

وأشارت إلى أن المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين لديها 8 مواقع تم إنشاؤها مع حكومة إثيوبيا لتلبية احتياجات الحماية للاجئين القادمين من جنوب السودان والصومال وإريتريا ومجتمع النازحين داخل البلد نفسه.

إلى جانب توفير الحماية الدولية ، لدى المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين برامج في مختلف القطاعات بما في ذلك التعليم وتقديم الخدمات الصحية والعمل ، جنبًا إلى جنب مع مختلف الشركاء لتوفير الاحتياجات الأساسية للمحتاجين.

لذلك ، “لا يمكن أن تكون المساعدة كافية أبدًا لأن لدينا عددًا كبيرًا جدًا من الأشخاص”

مضيفة أن هناك حوالي 800000 لاجئ وعدد كبير جدًا من الأشخاص المتضررين ، بما في ذلك الإثيوبيين. ”
