صرح وزير البيئة والغابات في جنوب السودان جوزيف افريكانو باتيا بأن مبادرة البصمة الخضراء في إثيوبيا مبادرة ناجحة ويجب تكراراها في دول المنطقة لتفادي التغيرات المناخية.
وفي مقابلة خاصة مع وكالة الأنباء الاثيوبية أوضح جوزيف بأنه “نسبة لأن تأثيرات التغيرات المناخية دولية ، فإن أي مشروع أثبت نجاحه مثل مبادرة البصمة الخضراء في إثيوبيا يمكن تكراره في دول المنطقة.
وأضاف جوزيف “أظن أنه يجب على كل الدول تطبيق ” مبادرة البصمة الخضراء” ويجب علينا التعاون فى محاربة التغيرات المناخية ،كما يجب علينا التأكد من أننا طورنا جميع المشاريع الزراعية التي يتم تنفيذها فى مختلف البلدان”.
وأكد الوزيرعلى إستلام جنوب السودان لعدد من الشتلات من إثيوبيا وزراعتها.
وأوضح جوزيف بأن “تأثرات البيئة لن تنتظرنا ولكن من الأهمية بمكان أن نتأكد من أننا قمنا بإستغلال وإدارة الموارد الطبيعية لدينا بصورة مستدامة “.
ودعا جوزيف الى موقف موحد للأفارقة خاصة فيما يتعلق بتمويل المناخ و التكييف المناخي بإعتبارهم من أقل المؤثرين فى الإنبعاث الكربوني حيث يبلغ أقل من 5% من الإنبعاث العالمي، ولكن الدول الافريقية من أكثر الدول تضررا.
ومن جانبه أشاد الخبير إدريس قلواك أحد مجموعة المفاوضين الأفارقة من جنوب السودان بمبادرة رئيس الوزراء الأثيوبي د.أبي أحمد لأنه وضح لنا كيفية إعطاء الاولوية للزراعة، لقد رأيت بأن اثيوبيا قد إستثمرت الكثير فى الزراعة ، وهذا الدور كبيرجداً وأصبح بين أيدينا نحن من الدول الافريقية وخاصة دول الجوار، ويجب علينا تبني هذا” المشروع”.
وبين إدريس بأن جنوب السودان قد تعلم كثيراً من خلال إعطاء أولوية للزراعة ومبادرة البصمة الخضراء “إذا ذهبتَ حالياً الى مدينة جوبا فإنك ستجد على جانبي النهر بأننا قد زرعنا الأشجار والشجيرات والمحاصيل الغذائية، وبالطبع قد نجونا واستطعنا العيش لقد تعلمنا كثيراً”.
و لحل مشكلات التغيرات المناخية التي تشهدها افريقيا، شدد إدريس على أهمية تحرير التمويل و الوحدة والتواصل والإستفادة من الموارد البيئية، من خلال تحقيق الشمولية والتعاون بين الدول وإشراك مجموعات الخبراء الذين لديهم الخبرة في هذا المجال .
وحث إدريس الدول الافريقية لمزيد من التعاون بينها وأن تحب الدول ماتريده ان يكون فيها لغيرها من الدول خاصة دول الجوار.
والجدير بالذكر أن اثيوبيا قد أرسلت شجيرات لزراعتها فى دول الجوار ضمن مبادرة البصمة الخضراء شملت جيبوتي وجنوب السودان والصومال وغيرها تحت شعار “الأخوة الخضراء”.
