ADDIS ABABA-Defense Minister Abraham Balay(PhD) said that the Ethiopian Defense Force Foundation has been taking bold steps and working tirelessly to ensure the benefit of the army.
The Minister held a discussion regarding the various activities being carried out by the foundation.
Abraham (PhD) explained that the foundation has been well organized and has done promising work in the past two years to ensure self-sufficiency in food and the benefit of the army.
He also said that house construction and development works have been carried out on a large scale for the benefit of the army.
Defense State Minister Marta Luij stated that the Defense Foundation is working day and night to be effective and problem solving with the purpose for which it was established.
Marta also noted that a lot has been done to build and hand over the army’s communal houses with quality and speed.
The foundation has so far distributed 1,236 condominium houses to army members and civil staff who have registered and saved and met the criteria. On May 11, 2024, 1,336 condominium units will be distributed by lottery, according to the information obtained from the Ethiopian Defense Force’s social media page.
