In connection with its 78th anniversary, the Ethiopian Airlines has made a special flight to Cairo, Egypt, according to the press release from the airlines.

“Serving passengers on this special flight to Cairo is not just a tribute to our first international service but a reaffirmation of our commitment to the ethos of servant leadership,” the release from the airline indicated.

Group Chief Executive Officer Mesfin Tassew and Chief Commercial Officer Lemma Yadecha accompanied the crew on a flight to Cairo, marking the airline’s inaugural international service.

Regarding the occasion, Group CEO Mesfin said that this event symbolizes the unwavering commitment of the airline to its passengers and the belief that true leadership lies in serving others first.

“From our humble beginning back in 1946, we have come to be the aviation giant in Africa that we are now, pioneering African aviation with many first aviation innovation introductions to Africa along the way. As we are maturing beautifully, our commitment only gets stronger,” he said.

Moreover, the CEO underscored that the airline has been striving for excelling customer service delivery that would help it lift up the ongoing growth into a higher level.

He further emphasized the Ethiopian has come to be the aviation giant in Africa that “we are now pioneering African aviation with many first aviation innovation introductions to Africa along the way.”

The airline also bought the first ultra-modern Airbus (A350-900) aircraft in Africa and put them into operation.
