BY ROMAN TWELDEBIRHAN
A weed within verses, i
Without you bidding me
i suddenly sprung
In and your surrounding
You my answer to all
‘My quote above my pillow –
My fitting, be-fitting poem’
The alphabet’s emblem
Love surpassing words
… beyond any alphabet
Akin a chain with a cross
My double crossed heart
Has only room for you
With your essence pregnant
Though you are hidden
A THRUTH, i keep to my own
Let my wrinkled body glow
In me, may your light flow
You, crushed my cursed past
To become my only present
In such a very long time
Please take my comb
May your perfect caress
Smoothen
… my wrinkle and grey’s?
You weeded and cared for me
You, my only beauty
Warmed my aging days
That were cold and grey
You, my brightness and glow
You, my seat, way up high
When night time is nigh.
