No matter how sharp the whale’s tooth is, swimmers have survived; no matter how hard the storm is, sailors have kept the voyage. Likewise, Ethiopia is moving forward. It has started a new chapter with a new spirit. The formation of the new government is a true manifestation to this.
Ethiopia is an ancient country with strong social, economic and political structure that would not be shaken by temporary challenges. Ethiopian politics or social structure is not made to please Neo-colonialists or pro-TPLF junta catalysts. Ethiopia has a century old experience of living in harmony and knows the way to convert all political challenges into opportunities. This is witnessed within the last three years where the nation had been through difficult times where both internal and external problems were pushing the nation hard.
Despite the attempt of anti-Ethiopian elements- internal as well as external-the nation has survived and prevailed. All attempts to cripple the political and economic structure of the nation have failed. All efforts to destroy Ethiopian unity, stability and identity have become futile.
October 4, 2021, is a historical moment in Ethiopian history. It is a day where the true definition of democratization manifested in Ethiopian soil. It is a moment where Ethiopia Parliament has officially appointed its political leaders who were elected last June in a free, fair and democratic election. In addition to appointing the House Speakers, the Parliament has also appointed the unstoppable, unbeatable and invincible young leader, Abiy Ahmed (PhD) as the Prime Minister of Ethiopia.
Ethiopia has passed through several difficult times. War, aggression, hunger and starvation are not something new to the nation. It has successfully beaten them several times. But, what makes the last three years different from the others is, they were times where Ethiopia`s attempt to unify and prosper in a democratic path was resisted by groups who consider themselves as guardians of Ethiopia while they truly were blood suckers.
Starting from the time the new government set the foundation to build a new Ethiopia which is orchestrated in democratic path, the TPLF junta and those who backed its evil deeds were trying all their best to cripple Ethiopian reform effort. However, thanks to the commitment of its peace loving children Ethiopia has prevailed and it has set a new government with a vision of “Renaissance.”
September is a special month for all Ethiopians. It is the first month of the year where the sunny Meskerem (September) took the position from the cloudy and rainy August. It is a month where Ethiopians have received the New Year and colorfully marked Enkutatash, Meskel- the founding of the true cross and Irreecha.
This year’s September is more special for various reasons. It is a month where Ethiopia has set a democratic state. The Prosperity Party that has won 410 parliamentary seats out of 436 has taken the position democratically and officially.
The storm is not over yet; the vultures are still looking for dead human beings in the soil of Ethiopia but Ethiopians did not give them a chance. Ethiopians have united as they never united ever. All the internal and external storms have made them more strong and united. The peace loving Ethiopians have joined hands to build a strong and united Ethiopia.
Using its committed leaders together with industrious hands, Ethiopia will regain its position in Africa. Using democratic principles as a pillar and foundation, the nation will be the hub of African renaissance and center of Pan-Africanism. The “New Chapter” has already started. The past has gone for once and for all.
It has become more than three years since the nation has been fighting all forms of anti-Ethiopian sentiments and antidemocratic elements. All efforts to restructure the political systems of the nation and preserve the political stability of the nation had been challenged through strong storms. The Western intervention together with the TPLF Junta`s attempt to ruin Ethiopian unity has totally failed. Ethiopia has opened a new chapter with a new vision. It has assigned its visionary political leaders to lead the nation so as to achieve its destination. No single power can stop the nation from achieving its goals. The storm may not over yet, but Ethiopia has kept its journey. It has formed a new government that is build up on strong democratic foundation.
