ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopians living in Italy and descent of Ethiopian staged a peaceful demonstration in Rome, Italy on Thursday to condemn the multifaceted pressure on homeland country, said Ethiopian Diaspora Agency.
According to the Agency, the campaigners voiced their support for the ongoing struggle of the Ethiopian people and government as well as the National Defense Forces.
The demonstration was organized by members of the Ethiopian community in Italy. Demonstrators chanted slogans against the TPLF’s destruction of the country and its people, the war crimes committed by misleading children, the tragic inhumane treatment of Ethiopians by the Saudi government, it’s the unjust pressure of Western countries and institutions, and the misrepresentation of the media.
Demonstrators promised their deep respect for the members of the Defense Forces, regional Special Forces and other security forces who are making great sacrifices for the survival of the country and will continue to strengthen their support for the struggle for the country’s sovereignty. They also called on all people in other countries to join in the rescue effort.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eritreans were present at the demonstration and expressed their displeasure at the silence of the West while the terrorist group TPLF was committing war crimes in the region.
Supporters also called on Ethiopians living in other countries and those of Ethiopian descent to play their part in the rescue process.
