ADDIS ABABA – The Tigray Peoples’ Liberation Front (TPLF) Junta’s ringleader and the one who used to devise and coordinate a strategy to destabilize Ethiopia for the last 27 years, Sibhat Nega was arrested yesterday.
Defense Forces Deployment Department Head Brigadier General Tesfaye Ayalew told The Ethiopian News Agency that Sibhat Nega was arrested from a secret hiding cave which is rather inaccessible to humankind.
“The ringleader was carried and put in the inaccessible cave by some members of the TPLF junta.”
As to him, others who betrayed the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) had been arrested together with Sibhat Nega.
The Junta’s militia members that were patrolling the hiding area were destroyed, according to him.
In addition, the following Junta’s members are arrested:
1. Lt.Col. Tsadu Rich – Sibhat Nega’s wife and former physician at the Armed Forces General Hospital, later retired.
2. Col. Kinfe Tadesse – betrayed from the ENDF
3. Col.Yemane Kahsay – betrayed from the ENDF
4. Asegede Gebrechristos – A man who traveled from the central part of Ethiopia and joined the traitor group, recently with unknown position, has been arrested.
5. Alganesh Meles who lived in the U.S., a wife of late Maj. Gen. Hayelom Araya. She later came to Addis Ababa and joined the Junta, was dead falling from cliff while trying to escape during the operation.
6. Amdemariam Tessema Tewolde- Former Head of Tigray State’s Grievance Hearing Bureau
7. Comr. Berhe Girma-Logistic Head of Tigray State’s Special Force.
