Dionysios Marinos:I am the Country Manager (2018-Present) Environmental Technologies Ethiopia, Addis Ababa; set up a new subsidiary company for LDK CONSULTANDS S.A. I was successfully awarded a government contract to conduct a feasibility study and detailed design of waste water management system for Bahir Dar and Hawassa Towns. My main responsibilities include, among others, setting up a new company, arranging and overlooking the process of permits, subcontractors, and employing personnel, according to the standards of the company. Also I oversaw securities and bank issues, personnel. I was responsible for all contacts with the government and city officials.
Furthermore, responsible for expanding LDK activities in Ethiopia, Eritrea and South Sudan, I recruited the necessary personnel and subcontractors. Study is on
the final stage, on schedule, on time and on budget, achieved on time the full payment for the second stage of the project, LDK participates in 12 new tenders in Ethiopia, short listed for 7.
In addition to this, I am working with the MESOGEOS L.B. Company Representative (2017-Present) Environmental Technologies Lebanon, Beirut; set up a new subsidiary company for Mesogeos M.E., specialized in solid waste treatment, fulfilling 2 government contracts.
During this time, I oversaw the full process of setting up the company, oversaw bank and securities, co-responsible for all contacts with the government and city officials, co- responsible for expanding Mesogeos L.B. activities in Lebanon. My achievements during this period are; recruited project managers and managed the review and selection of the main subcontractor, both projects under construction are on schedule, on time and on budget, achieved within the agreed timeline, all of the payments for both of the projects, led new tenders regarding environmental sector. J/V MESOGEOS SA- DEVISE SA-TECHNOVA LTD Country Manager (2014-2018) Environmental Technologies Ethiopia, Addis Ababa; set up a new joint venture company, J/V DMT, specialized in wastewater treatment in the above city, fulfilling a government contract. I was responsible to set up the new company, obtained permits, found
suppliers, subcontractors, and employed relevant personnel. All of the above had to comply with strict corporate standards of J/V DMT, oversaw the progress on seven sites, (subcontractors, suppliers, shipping transportation, securities and bank issues, personnel etc.), responsible for all contacts with the government and city officials, responsible for expanding J/V DMT activities within Ethiopia.
I have identified and passed on a new relevant project to J/V DMT VIOSY S.A. Greece Sales & Distribution Manager/ Business Development Commercial company (Lead–acid batteries) Leader in Greece with exports to several countries
2013-2014. I put in place a more effective sales strategy, researched, investigated and identified new foreign markets detailed commercial mapping of Greece and a change of point-of-sales strategy down to final user As a consultant working with al- Nasser Group, Saudi Arabia for the creation of a network of state-of-the-art Concrete Ready Mix plants in the country formed a team of experienced professionals, submitted a 5-year business plan that was accepted and provided guidance, training and support. The company is currently implementing the first stages of the business plan, working with the contractors, suppliers and professional that I had proposed. LAFARGE BETON S.A./LEADER BETON Albania Country Manager/ Balkans Business Development Based in Tirana, I set up a new subsidiary company for Lafarge, Leader Beton, producing and distributing 2009-2011 Ready Mix Concrete, and a Quarry. With a single plant in Tirana, within 5 months managed to have an immediate impact on the bottom line achieving a profit of 430,000 Euros. We have won lucrative deals with State agencies for large infrastructure projects, e.g. Tirana Business Park, TiranaElbasan Road and tunnel, Kukci Dam. Study and proposal for the company expanding into 3 different countries (Montenegro, Kosovo
Skopje, Serbia) was approved LAFARGE BETON S.A. Attica Region Production and Sales Manager (2007-2009), overseeing a team of 170 people, 5 Ready-mix Concrete Plants, 125 heavy mobile equipment, second best performing region in the world for Lafarge Group (the biggest cement and concrete producer in the world) with
740,000 m3, successfully created a separate sales department for Value added Products. LAFARGE BETON S.A. 2004-2007 East Attica Area Production and Sales Manager, overseeing a personnel force of 73 people,

I increased the production and sales from
120,000 m3 to 320,000 m3, turned all concrete transportation to exclusively subcontractors, opened up the market for value added products, providing our customers with a range of premium and novel products. LAFARGE BETON S.A.

Having these expertise and cross continental experiences, my vision here in Ethiopia is not only to make profits, but also to bring some excellence in the area, promote business, create jobs for my Ethiopian brothers and sisters . Finally, I want to underline that Ethiopia is a country of multidimensional profits, starting from lucrative and untapped business opportunity up to hospitable and trainable human capital and conducive environment for doing investment projects and living, he stated in an exclusive interview with the Ethiopian Herald.
