Government to strengthen COVD-19 assessment on boarders

ADDIS ABABA – Ministry of Health announced that the government is entering to strengthen assessments of COVD-19 as cases in Neighboring Countries increasing speedy.

Dr. Tegene Redassa, Communication Director at the Ministry said that the government is focusing on combating the virus through applying tight measures in boarder quarantine centers.

“The number of cases, especially in the eastern part of a country is increasing daily, thus the delegation is visiting these areas to fill drawbacks”.

To him, the government is taking measures through updating the capacity and number of centers accordingly.

Petros Woldesenbet, Chairperson of the State of emergency Inquiry Board also said that quarantine centers around the centers are increasing timely. The government is working with equipped task force to control diffusion of individuals who are trying to escape out of quarantine.

“We are working with notion of “there should be no one entering to Ethiopia if not quarantined”, he said. Last Wednesday, delegation from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Peace and regional sectorial experts paid visit on Ethio-Djibuti boarder quarantines, which located in Afar Region.
