ADDIS ABABA – The Embassy of Algeria in connection with this year’s holy month of Ramadan has extended four tones of essential food products to 100 disadvantaged families here on Sunday.
The embassy’s Diplomatic Attaché Alem Mohammed Walid told The Ethiopian Herald that the solidarity operation has been organized in coordination with the High Council for Islamic Affairs.
As to him, such food support will assist those families who are in real need especially during that very difficult time of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Ethiopia. “They can celebrate the month of Ramadhan in easier conditions.”
He noted that the Embassy is strongly convinced that only solidarity and faith will prevail against the difficult times the world is witnessing.
Alem, therefore, said similar operation would be followed by other actions in the near future to demonstrate the strong and historical ties linking Algeria and Ethiopia.
