Premier to discuss with Ethiopians in the Middle East

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed will hold talks with members of the Ethiopian communities residing in the Middle East countries in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from February 13-15 2020, the Ethiopian Embassy in Abu Dhabi disclosed.

The discussion between the prime minister and Ethiopians will include current issues in the country while they will touch up on ways and means of ensuring the communities’ rights and benefits in the respective countries.

The discussion will also be expected to encourage the respective community to contribute their share in the ongoing reform process. Ethiopians and foreigners of Ethiopian origin residing in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain are expected to take part in the meeting.

The discussion between the prime minister and Ethiopians not only included current happenings in the country, but also seeking ways to ensure their rights and benefits in the respective countries they live in a view to enabling them to contribute share in the ongoing reform process.

Ethiopians and foreigners of Ethiopian origin residing in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain are expected to take part in the meeting.

Ethiopian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and a Consulate General in Dubai set different platforms and have made extensive preparation activities so as to ensure a successful public deliberation. Hundreds of Ethiopians and foreigners of Ethiopian origin living in the UAE have been actively participating in those platforms.
