Sodere Resort expands hotel investment to Addis Ababa

ADDIS ABABA – The International standard hotel, Sodere Resort Hotels, said it has given special attention for hotel and resort investment intending to contribute for the development of the service sector in the country.

On his opening remark during the launching ceremony of a new hotel building installed in front of the Africa Union Head Quarter last Saturday, Sodere Resort Hotels’ General Manager Abiyot Temesgen said that the Hotel has been built with a total cost of 100 million Birr,

 furnished with full facility to provide brand tourism and hospitality services for guests coming to the Capital of Ethiopia and the seat of the African Union.

The General Manager said that the Hotel abides by international standards to provide quality services for both corporate and leisure travelers who need safety, warm hospitality, full accommodation and want to enjoy a stay of utmost comfort. It contains 50 internationally standardized bed rooms, two modern restaurants, bar, conference hall which can accommodate over 6000 people at a time, and other hotel services, he added.

 According to Abiyot, the Hotel has now created employment opportunity for over seventy five people. When the hotel gets into a full operation, about 120 people will get job opportunity. In addition to this, other branch hotels, being built around Adisu Gebeya and Bole Medhanialem, will be inaugurated in the coming years, he indicated.

Addis Ababa Tourism Bureau Head Nebiyu Baye said for his part that the hotel will play a vital role in job creation; and will contribute significant role for the development of tourism sector as well as for the growth of the city’s and national economy.
