BAHIR DAR – Ministry of Agriculture disclosed that it has planned to create 10.5 million job opportunity in rural agriculture for the next 10 years.
The ministry noted this yesterday while it wrapped up the 2nd National Rural Youths’ Job Creation Exhibition and Bazaar that had been undertaking for the past three days in Bahir Dar City.
On the occasion, Agriculture State Minister Dr. Kaba Urgesa said that the government has been working strongly on the sector with stakeholders to assure citizens specially youths’ and women’s economic benefit.
As to him, it needs to work seriously to address the higher number of unemployment in the country.
Ministry Rural Job Creation Director Sileshi Bekele for his part noted that the ministry has better opportunities to achieve the wide job creation utilizing skilled human capital graduated each year from universities, abundant land resources and agro industries that have been constructing across the country.
He added that the ministry will also give due attention and work on youth’s attitudinal improvement to get positive outcome.
The three daylong exhibition and bazaar that comprised of rural field visit and experience sharing with successful enterprises and panel discussions has been wrapped up yesterday.
