Inspiring the young generation would be one way to unearth their talents. And by giving a little to this important section of the society, the country can harvest in abundance.
There is no gainsaying the fact that the catchphrase of John F. Kennedy’s Inaugural Address “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” still feels fresh and alive. But we should not forget that there is a saying that goes ‘you reap what you sow.’
In this case, Deputy Mayor Eng. Takele Uma’s consistent actions must be saluted. His administration has attached a great focus on modifying the attitude of students toward school and education.
Even recently, he presented smart tabs to around 400 students of Empress Menen Girls High School. It has sponsored school uniforms to all students at public schools.
Unlike previous days, each school day, the students get elegantly dress up and heads to their schools without either dinning breakfast at home or carrying their lunchbox as all the schools serve nutritious and delicious meals at breakfast and lunchtime.
Students who come particularly from low-income parents pay all their attention to their daily school lessons. Since generation is offered with what their country can afford, our motherland can expect from them to do all that is at their disposal as grownups. The lessons of the Deputy Mayor and his Administration have to as well scale up to other parts of the country.
