ADDIS ABABA – Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen suggested the international community to ameliorate support for refugees to magnify their socio-economic capacity at the first Global Refugee Forum, held in Geneva, Switzerland.
According to him, Ethiopia is dedicated to making available the required supports to refugees based on the wide-ranging refugee response context.
Furthermore, the support and response to immigrants through Ethiopia will be rejuvenated following the International Refugee Convention framework.
He announced that Ethiopia is in readiness to make available practical support to refugees in the areas of fundamental services and social security, capacity building, and other related aspects. (Source: ENA)
