ADDIS ABABA –A bazaar and exhibition that center the upcoming Oromo’s Thanksgiving Festival, Irrechaa, which is going to be celebrated at Hora Finfinne and Hora Harsadii opened yesterday at the Addis Ababa Oromo Cultural Center.
Oromia State Culture and Tourism Bureau Deputy Head, Admassu Waq-gari, said that the objectives of the exhibition is to promote the culture of Oromo people and gaining economic advantage from sell of cultural commodities.
As to him, mass number of businessmen will become beneficiary from the sale of cultural commodities.
Activist Jawar Mahammed, on his part said that since it is impossible to run politics without financial system, it is a must to ensure economic empowerment to sustain political victory.
At the exhibition, Oromo cultural clothes, different books which focus on Oromo peoples culture and history, different cultural foods and beverages, Oromo jewelries, Photos of different Oromo heroes and other commodities were supplied at the Center for selling and promotion.
It is learnt that the exhibition will continue up to the celebration of Irrechaa Festival on October 6, 2109.
