ADDIS ABABA -Godo Smart Real Estate, a subsidiary of African Holding Group, is making significant progress in promoting home ownership and driving economic growth in Ethiopia.
The company is currently developing a major project on a 10,000-square-meter site near Tekur Anbessa Hospital, commonly known as Meda Garage Tekle Haymanot.
The project will feature four high-rise towers of up to 35 floors, offering modern and affordable apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms. Designed to meet the needs of both individuals and families, the development combines quality housing with thoughtful urban planning.
In addition to residential units, the site will house the African Business Center, a retail hub designed to support local commerce. The mall will provide shop spaces from 10 to 200 square meters, creating opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises while enhancing access to everyday services for residents.
The initiative goes beyond real estate. African Holding Group is actively engaged in social responsibility, working in collaboration with the Addis Ababa City Administration to empower vulnerable communities. Through this partnership, the company has granted 550,000 shares in Godo Smart Real Estate to 54 disadvantaged mothers and has contributed to various community events and festivals.
Efforts to empower women are also a central part of the organization’s mission. By offering employment and housing to women from underprivileged backgrounds, the company is helping many achieve financial independence and a better quality of life.
With a long-term vision to mobilize over 20 million shareholders and raise 20 billion Birr in capital by 2032, African Holding Group plans to establish more than 150 companies and create jobs for over 155,000 unemployed citizens. The goal is to tackle challenges related to cooperation, investment access, and wealth distribution across Ethiopia and the broader African continent.
Through its integrated approach to housing, business, and social progress, African Holding Group is emerging as a transformative force in Ethiopia’s journey toward sustainable economic growth.
