Ethiopian wins “Airline of the Year” at AFRAA Summit

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Airlines Group has been honored with the prestigious “Airline of the Year – Global Operations” award for the eighth time at the African Airlines Association’s (AFRAA) 56th Annual General Assembly and Summit in Cairo, Egypt.

The award recognizes Ethiopian for its outstanding performance, including impressive profitability for the fiscal year ending June 2023.

The airline, Africa’s leading carrier, was lauded for its exemplary cooperation with other airlines, significant advancements in cargo services, and its extensive route network that connects Africa to the global aviation market. In a press release issued by the airline, it was noted that Ethiopian Airlines’ commitment to connecting Africa to the world has contributed significantly to the growth of trade, tourism, and economic ties across the continent.
