Turning the clock back

My sight love though roaring past a lot of water has passed under the bridge

Could not let go my heart the electrifying, inundating feeling you stirred in it long ago

In the citadel of my heart relent could not your wound-rubbing-salt love’s siege

My dove, away that opted to rove,

what a misfortune in the catalog of my romance woe.

My object of desire, to ember could not change in my heart you ignited fire

Although time and distance estranging us treated me cruel reducing me to a fool

Pursuing you in my wet dreams at night and daydreaming about you I will not tire

Because gauging possible love mates against your merits I’ve made it my rule.

Turning the clock back I hallucinate to follow you sniffing your track

You might have metamorphosed to a lady, a mother

As would have it ill , to date, my eye candy you are what I lack

About my existence, unaware or indifferent you may not bother.

Fate reversed had you be mine, and me thine

Ecstatic my life would have been fine.
