وفي مقابلة خاصة مع وكالة الأنباء الإثيوبية قال الباحث في الشؤون الأفريقية موسى شيخو إن اختيار إثيوبيا في مجموعة البريكس هو نتاج الدبلوماسية الاثيوبية ومكانتها في الحضارة الافريقية ومقوماتها التاريخية هي التي أهلتها إلى الانضمام إلى المنظمات الدولية.
وأضاف أن مجموعة بريكس يمكن أن تستفيد من إثيوبيا لأن إثيوبيا بها موارد بشرية ضخمة وكذلك تنعم البلاد بموارد طبيعية وان مجموعة بريكس بها التكنولوجيا والمعرفة وتحتاج إلى موارد وهذه فرصة لإثيوبيا في الاستفادة من المجموعة، مشيراً إلى أن اختيار البلاد في الانضمام إلى بريكس يرجع إلى الحضارة العريقة مصاحبة بدبلوماسيتها القوية والنشطة.
وأشار الباحث أن الدبلوماسية النشطة لإثيوبيا جعل أن تكون البلاد محطة أنظار العالم وقال إن رئيس الوزراء الدكتور أبي أحمد بذل جهوداً جبارة لإلحاق إثيوبيا بعضوية البلاد إلى مجموعة بريكس، رغم أن هناك دول منافسة للبلاد، وهو دليل على دبلوماسية البلاد النشطة على الساحة العالمية.
وقال إن استضافة إثيوبيا للمنظمات الدولية والقارية في العاصمة أديس أبابا يعطي البلاد زخماً وثقلاً سياسياً كبير لإثيوبيا.
وأوضح أن البلاد شهدت زيارات رسمية لرؤساء دول العالم وتعتبر إثيوبيا عاصمة دبلوماسية، ومقر المنظمات الدولية مثل الاتحاد الافريقي والأمم المتحدة وجامعة الدول العربية غيرها من المنظمات الدولية.
وقال إن الانضمام إلى مجموعة بريكس له فوائد لإثيوبيا تتمثل في الشراكة الاقتصادية والاستراتيجية فضلاً عن الموارد الطبيعية والبشرية التي تتمتع بها إثيوبيا مما سيكون هناك تبادل في الخبرات ونقل التكنولوجيا من تلك الدول، وقال إن الدول الكبرى مثل روسيا والصين مرت بعدة تحديات أمنية واقتصادية مثل إثيوبيا وقال إن البلاد على المسار الصحيح لأن إذا لم نقوم بأعمال تنموية لم نجد تحديات لذلك نعمل من أجل أن نصبح من ضمن الدول الصاعدة اقتصاديا.
وفيما يخص بالدور الأفريقي في مجموعة بريكس قال إن في مجموعة بريكس دول أفريقية ويجب أن تعمل في تحقيق المصالح الأفريقية، مضيفاً أن الدور الإثيوبي ينفرد من ذلك في تسهيل والرفع الدبلوماسي في التمثيل الأفريقي في مجموعة بريكس وبذل جهود تحقيق التنمية الافريقية التي أطلقها الاتحاد الافريقي في أجندة 2063 التنموية، وكذلك فتح الباب امام إثيوبيا إلى الانضمام إلى المنظمات الدولية.
وأوضح أن الخبرات الدبلوماسية النشطة والتاريخ الإثيوبي في سياسته الدبلوماسية الناعمة كان له دوراً في قبول إثيوبيا في مجموعة بريكس، ويمكن ذلك يمهد الطريق للالتحاق بمقعد في مجلس الأمن الدولي.
