قال رئيس الوزرا الإثيوبي أبي أحمد  ، لقد قمنا بحراك دبلوماسي كبير لتوطيد علاقاتنا مع دول الجوار الإثيوبي ،حيث تواصلنا مع كل من أريتريا والسودان وكينيا والصومال وجنوب السودان ،جيبوتي ودول أخري في المنطقة .

جاء ذلك  ، خلال توضيحا  قدمه رئيس الوزراء الإثيوبي أبي أحمد  ، للأسئلة والاستفسارات  المقدمة من قبل أعضاء  البرلمان الإثيوبي اليوم الثلاثاء بمقر البرلمان الإثيوبي باديس أبابا .

وقال أبي ،أن حراكنا الدبوماسي مؤخرا كان جيدا مع كل دور الجوار ، وماقمنا به  من تحركات ولقاءات مع الجانب السوداني ،يؤكد متأنة  العلاقات مع دولة السودان الشقيقة .

وبحسب أبي ، فأن اللقاءات جأءت لمعالجة بعض التحديات والعديد من القضايا ، التي واجهت الدولتان خلال المراحل الماضية  .

وأكد أبي ،أن الموقف السوداني كان جيدا خلال المراحل الماضية ،وقال أن  الحكومة السودانية وقفت الي جانب إثيوبيا  في العديد من الملفات والقضايا مؤخرا  .

وأشاد أبي أحمد ، بجهود الحكومة السودانية الداعم  لإثيوبيا في كافة المحافل ،مؤكدا ان العلاقة تشهدا تقدما من وقت لأخر .

كما أشاد أبي أحمد بجهود كافة الدول الأفريقية منها دولة جنوب أفريقيا ودول أخري في القارة ،والتي دعمت السلام والأستقرار في إثيوبيا ، وساهمت بصورة كبيرة في تسهيل توقيع أتفاقية السلام الإثيوبية التي وقعت مؤخرا في بريتوريا بين الحكومة الإثيوبية وجبهة تحرير تجراي .
